Whelping here at Top Dog
We have designed and created our whelping box. Here is a list of supplies and how we built it. 1. (2) 8ft sheets
of 1/2 inch cdx plywood 2. (2) ft
sheets od white bathroom wall board 3.
( 3) 1 1/2 inch wide 4 ft long piano hinges 4. (1) 1 1/2 inch wide 30 inch long piano hinge 5. (1) cabinet handle 5.
(4) tubes of Liquid nails 6. (2)
snaps 7.(2) hasp
I measured my biggest bitch, hight and length and added 12
inches to both hight and width to
get my box size. I contacted several
METAL FABRICATION SHOPS FOR PRICE QUOTES. I
found a company that could make me a 4ft x 4ft Galvanized pan with NO sharp corners or edges for a reasonable fee. so I ordered it. my whelping rails( pig rails) are made out
of 1 1/2 inch sced 40 PVC pipe and connections for easy sanatising and cleaning 12 tee's 12 caps 4 90degree elbows and 2 sticks of pipe
